1.4.2019 — In April, 'Mladí Ladí Jazz', the annual International Youth Jazz Festival in Prague, will bring seven evenings of concerts where world renowned stars will be performing, workshops and, of course, the traditional youth competition 'Jazzfruit'. The festival is looking for talents in contemporary jazz and the experimental scene from the Czech Republic and abroad, and introduce them to the public. Its main goal is to bring the attention of a young audience back to jazz music and restore traditions of this music in the Czech Republic.

14.6.2011 — Kůň Převalského – poslední divoký kůň vůbec, se vrací do přírody. Na letišti ve Kbelích byli na palubu armádního letounu CASA směřujícího do oblasti Khomin Tal v západním Mongolsku naloženi čtyři koně. Zoo Praha se tak zapsala mezi prestižní světové organizace, které usilují o návrat divokých koní zpět do volné přírody.

30.3.2020 — The black and rufous elephant shrew, (Rhynchocyon petersi) is a new resident in Prague Zoo's indoor African pavilion. Although it looks like a mouse, it is related to elephants and aardvarks.

30.4.2019 — Originating from a pagan feast, 'pálení čarodějnic' or 'čarodějnice' for short, a Czech version of Saint Walpurgis Night, has become a folk custom and tradition.

30.10.2019 — Like every year, Prague Botanical Garden is getting ready for the Halloween celebrations on the last day of October. Pumpkin carving, games, competitions, a bonfire and, of course, a pumpkin parade will be part of the celebrations. Come and join the Halloween celebrations in Prague Botanical Garden.

25.10.2019 — The first official aerial sports championships in the Czech Republic and Slovakia will begin in Prague. You can come and see the elegant sport, where acrobats dance in the air with the aid of scarves, on the 26th of October in Královské Vinohrady. Aerobics and fitness are not as popular as adrenaline-filled sports. However, aerial acrobatics has recently experienced a great boom. And it's not just about the competition. Like any sport, aerial dancing can be practiced for fun.

26.9.2019 — RefuFest is a festival that creates space for people from all over the world to meet and express solidarity with refugees. Discover other cultures thanks to music, dance, theatre and other forms of cultural expression. The festival will take place in Invalidovna in Karlín in Prague on the 27th and 28th of September, while Thursday the 27th of September is reserved for schools.

7.4.2020 — A nationwide project to support theatres, concert halls, clubs and artists has been launched. 'NIC' tickets have been on sale since the 1st of April. 'Nic' means 'nothing' in Czech and that is the aim of this project - as cultural events cannot take place, cultural institutions and artists need your support. According to Hana Třeštíková, Prague City Councillor for Culture, Czech people are inventive, so instead of simply asking for donations, they came up with a plan to sell tickets for 'non-existing' cultural events, which will (not) take place on the 1st of May.

19.9.2019 — An exhibition dedicated to the 600th anniversary of the birth of the Czech king Wenceslas IV (Václav IV.) is on in the Imperial Stables of Prague Castle until the 3rd of November. It will display the era of his rule, as well as Gothic art and architecture from around 1400 AD.

24.8.2021 — Závod a zároveň festival cyklistiky se uskuteční v sobotu 28. srpna. Ale není nutné závodit, může to být i pohodová vyjížďka. Start a cíl jsou v Praze, trasy vedou po uzavřených silnicích Křivoklátska, Berounska a Českého krasu a na každého, kdo to zvládne, čeká medaile.

29.8.2023 — Hlavní město Praha podalo žalobu na společnost Czech Outdoor na vyklizení pozemků. V rámci boje s nelegální reklamou přikročila Praha k tomuto kroku poté, co společnost doposud ani přes opakované výzvy neodstranila nelegální billboardy z 58 pozemků města.

Prahy Pavel Bém převzal záštitu nad 13. ročníkem mezinárodního halového turnaje tenistů na vozíku „Prague Cup Czech Indoor 2009“ a dnes odpoledne předal cenu nejlepšímu v kategorii mužů. Vítězství a již čtvrtý turnajový titul v pořadí získal Stefan Olsson ze Švédska po výhře nad slovenským reprezentantem Jozefem Felixem.

15.6.2019 — On Saturday, the 15th of June 2019, the next round of the prestigious FIM Speedway Grand Prix, the World Championship of Individuals, will take place at Markéta Speedway Stadium. The 23rd annual Speedway World Championship in the Czech Republic will be the third round in the Speedway Grand Prix. The first race took place in May in Warsaw, and the next round will be in Krško, Slovenia.

16.4.2007 — Význam inovací a jejich sociální a ekonomický přínos je téma konference Czech Innovation Day, která se dnes koná ve velkém jednacím sále Magistrátu hl. m. Prahy. Mezi přibližně dvěmi sty účastníky jsou jak představitelé veřejné správy a akademické sféry, tak zástupci průmyslu a podnikání. Konferenci poskytl záštitu primátor hl. m. Prahy Pavel Bém.

28.9.2020 — Prague City Gallery manages several dozen public sculptures. Some of them can be found in Charles Square (Karlovo náměstí) in the city centre. Some of the most famous among them are the statue of the scientist, doctor, scholar and biologist Jan Evangelista Purkyně, the statue of the writer Eliška Krásnohorská and the statue of the writer Karolina Světlá.

This time, we will look at Matyáš Bernard Braun's sculptures in Prague. The Austrian sculptor and woodcarver is one of the most important sculptors of the High Baroque period in the Czech Republic. Although he was not a Czech native, he created some of his most precious works in Bohemia.

Podtitulem letošního ročníku je NATURA a v pestrém programu v podání předních zahraničních souborů a ansámblu Collegium Marianum tak se objeví díla, při nichž se autoři v průběhu několika staletí nechali inspirovat zvuky zvířat, zahradami, květinami, živly, krajinou, přírodními božstvy a dalšími mytologickými bytostmi neodmyslitelně spjatými s přírodou.

8.8.2016 — Pražským centrem Českého olympijského týmu a jeho fanoušků se stalo obchodní centrum Quadrio, kde již před začátkem olympiády proběhla řada akcí a setkání s českými olympioniky. Partnerem projektu Českého olympijského výboru FAN ZONE Czech Team je i hlavní město Praha, které je letos Evropským hlavním městem sportu.

2.7.2013 — V sobotu 6. července 2013 se v Praze uskuteční 7. ročník tradičního mezinárodního závodu v dlouhém triatlonu „Czech Bigman“, který je zařazen mezi nejprestižnější závody světové série.  Cyklistická část tohoto závodu proběhne na Strakonické ulici, která bude ve směru do centra v úseku hranice Prahy – přemostění do Malé Chuchle v době od 7.30 do 18.00 hodin uzavřena.

12.6.2020 — Czech Railways have prepared nostalgic train rides for the coming weekend, the 13th and 14th of June. The Čtyřkolák steam engine will bring passengers on a historic train journey on a romantic route through the Prokopské Valley and the Prague Semmering.
