Live classical music concerts to celebrate Municipal House reopening
23.5.2020 — Prague Symphony Orchestra, also known as 'FOK', for 'Film-Opera-Koncert', is preparing the event 'Roušky se odkládají, salónky ožívají' ('Masks are put aside, halls are coming to life') in cooperation with the Municipal House. The event will make the reopening of the Municipal House a unique experience on the 25th of May from 6pm to 8pm. Halls that are usually accessible to the general public only on special occasions and with paid guided tours will come to life with free, short multi-genre concerts by Prague Symphony Orchestra's members.
The first aerial sports championship in the Czech Republic
25.10.2019 — The first official aerial sports championships in the Czech Republic and Slovakia will begin in Prague. You can come and see the elegant sport, where acrobats dance in the air with the aid of scarves, on the 26th of October in Královské Vinohrady. Aerobics and fitness are not as popular as adrenaline-filled sports. However, aerial acrobatics has recently experienced a great boom. And it's not just about the competition. Like any sport, aerial dancing can be practiced for fun.

8.6.2020 — L'Institut français de Prague (French Institute of Prague) is holding an exhibition called 'Prague etc...' by Czech-French photographer Michael W. Pospíšil until the 4th of July. The exhibition is held at Gallery 35 on Štěpánská Street, part of the French Institute which supports connection between French and Czech art.
21 projects compete in climate change competition finals
16.8.2020 — The public voting for the Adapterra Awards competition has started. The competition aims to find the best ideas on how to prepare Czech cities, towns and landscapes for the effects of climate change, such as drought, rising temperatures and torrential rain. 21 projects have reached the final stage of the competition, five of which are from Prague. The public have until the end of September to choose the best projects in the Czech Republic tackling current challenges regarding climate change, such as creating green buildings and public spaces, cooling urban streets and returning water to the landscape.
Judith Hill introduces her new album at Jazz Dock
31.10.2019 — Judith Hill is an American singer who is gaining more and more popularity. She will visit Prague on the 1st of November as part of her European tour. She will present her latest album as one of the stars of JAZZ ON5 festival in Jazz Dock.
Six film-premieres at the Scandi festival
8.1.2020 — Scandi, the festival of the best current Nordic cinema, offers dramas, thrillers, and provocative documentaries. The festival will take place in Prague cinemas Lucerna, Edison Filmhub, Evald and Atlas from the 9th to the 12th of January.

Prague full of Jazz
1.4.2019 — In April, 'Mladí Ladí Jazz', the annual International Youth Jazz Festival in Prague, will bring seven evenings of concerts where world renowned stars will be performing, workshops and, of course, the traditional youth competition 'Jazzfruit'. The festival is looking for talents in contemporary jazz and the experimental scene from the Czech Republic and abroad, and introduce them to the public. Its main goal is to bring the attention of a young audience back to jazz music and restore traditions of this music in the Czech Republic.
Prague to host festival dedicated to famous Czech composer
15.10.2019 — From the 16th to the 18th of October, Zelenka Festival Prague - Dresden will feature the work of Baroque genius Jan Dismas Zelenka. The festival venues are the Church of the Virgin Mary under the Chain ('kostel Panny Marie pod řetězem') in the Lesser Town ('Malá Strana') and the Knight Hall of the Grand Priory Palace ('Rytířský sál Velkopřevorského paláce').

15.7.2020 — The mayors of the V4 capitals have signed an open letter to the German Chancellor Angela Merkel in which they extended their congratulations to Germany's Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The Mayors have also expressed their commitment to the European Green Deal and the need for significantly increased direct green urban funding in the EU's next Multiannual Financial Framework.
